With a background in structural engineering, Luke transitioned into building surveying in 2011 as a cadet under the mentorship of his father. He now has over 13 years experience in private building surveying, specialising in residential projects and commercial developments up to four storeys. As the Director of Project BA, he has mentored several cadets who have gone on to become high-performing certifiers.
Luke has been the branch convenor for the AIBS Sunshine Coast Branch since 2018 and a Queensland Chapter Committee member since 2023. He was previously appointed as a member on the Queensland Government Development Tribunal, where he was responsible for hearing and deciding appeals against development applications.
Beyond building surveying, Luke has experience in venture capital markets, providing funding and guidance to climate technology startups. He enjoys mountain biking, spearfishing and carrying out chores on his hobby farm.
Luke was elected to the AIBS Board in 2024.
