About AIBS Fellowship

Fellowship is one of the highest honours within AIBS. It recognises members whose leadership, expertise and commitment have significantly contributed to the advancement of building surveying and strengthened the profession nationally.

Fellowship is awarded by the AIBS Board in recognition of outstanding service and contribution.

Fees

Fees for Fellows vary depending on accreditation and retirement status:

  • Accredited Fellow — $905
  • Accredited Life Fellow — $165
  • Retired Fellow and Retired Life Fellow See Retired Membership

Eligibility

Fellowship is not a category members apply for; nominations are considered by the AIBS Board based on:

  • Outstanding contribution to AIBS
  • Significant service to the profession
  • Demonstrated leadership and professional integrity

No. Fellowship is awarded by the AIBS Board in recognition of significant service and contribution.

What is the difference between Fellow and Life Fellow?

Life Fellowship is a higher level of recognition awarded for exceptional, long-standing service to AIBS and the profession.

Does Fellowship affect my accreditation?

Members may be Accredited Fellows or Accredited Life Fellows. Accreditation requirements remain unchanged.

Are Fellows subject to AIBS Codes and Standards?

Yes. All Fellows and Accredited Fellows remain subject to the AIBS Code of Professional Conduct.
