Expert Judgement and Evidence of Suitability – NCC Topic
Expert judgement has been interpreted in various ways ever since it was first included in the evidence of suitability pathways of the NCC. The ABCB noted majority support for a proposal to remove expert judgement as a pathway relevant for structural and fire related matters and the 2025 edition of the NCC has limitations on the use of expert judgement.
This hasn’t settled the questions across the sector regarding how and when expert judgement can be used so that this webinar event is essential for anyone wanting to understand a consensus approach to interpretation of when and for what matters expert judgement can be applied.
It will also cover matters related to who can provide information as an expert and what building surveyors need to do to understand if someone qualifies as an expert. This event is not to be missed by anyone who assess applications where information is provided that needs to be reviewed against the evidence of suitability criteria – everything!
