Waterproofing of Wet Areas
AIBS is pleased to bring you this training Webinar event on all things to do with Waterproofing.
Through emerging issues with waterproofing that are now becoming the focus of auditing in a number of jurisdictions, AIBS have teamed with Paul Ratcliff to provide you as a building surveyor and/or inspector, what you need to be aware of in this increasingly complex area.
Topics to be covered in this Webinar event will include;
• The fundamentals of waterproofing wet areas – where good design starts!
• The NCC BCA 2019 requirements.
• The requirements within AS 3740.
• What is the minimum documentation required to get it right!
• Discussion on external waterproofing including planter boxes, balconies and near flat roof structures.
This event will include a moderated Q&A session at the conclusion of the formal presentation, to ensure that all your questions and concerns are covered.

About the Speakers
Paul Ratcliff - Paul Ratcliff Building and Inspection Reports Pty Ltd
In 2017 Paul established Paul Ratcliff Building and Inspection Reports Pty Ltd with a focus on building and waterproofing inspections, forensic investigation litigation and waterproofing training. He is a committee member (Past Chairman) of BD-038 Standards Committee that is tasked with reviewing the deemed to satisfy requirements for waterproofing both internal and external wet areas.
In 2004 Paul was the recipient of the Master Builders Association Recognition of Service Award for development of the Master Builders Best Practice Manual 'Guide to Internal Wet Area Waterproofing. He also received the NSW Department of Education and Training Initiative Award for participation in developing a nationally accredited training and assessment package for internal we area waterproofing. Paul is the Chairman of the Master Builders Association Waterproofing Technical Committee as well as an Accredited Building Consultant with the Master Builders Association.

Cancellation Policy: |
Refunds for registrations should be provided in writing to [email protected] as outlined below and calculated from the first day of training:
More than 30 days - Full refund
Between 7 and 30 days - 50% refund
Less than 7 days - No refund
Participants may transfer their registration to another training session up to one (1) working day prior to the commencement of the training day without loss of funds.

- All registrations are confirmed upon completion of registration and issue of an invoice
- Payment terms on all invoices are the earlier of 14 days from the date of invoice, or prior to the first day of the event (where registration is completed and invoice issued less than 14 days from the first day of the event).
