Webinar Event - Engagement Practice Note Update

With recent changes to the Building Act 1975 and pending adoption of associated Regulations, we have identified changes to the terms of engagement that are recommended to be used for statutory building surveying engagements.

The new requirements establish an ability for the owner to nominate additional certification work that must be undertaken by statutory building surveyors who are engaged by a client that is not the owner. There are a range of other changes related to security of payment requirements also.

We have updated the standard form of engagement and associated AIBS Practice Note to reflect the new requirements. To support members to understand these changes and the implications of the legislative changes on your practice, we have developed a training webinar in conjunction with KelledyJones which explains how the new Practice Note and Engagement agreement template should be used.
