AIBS Practice Notes

Practice Notes are an important tool for AIBS members supporting professional conduct and sound building surveying practice. The AIBS Board has established a priority for the development of a range of Practice Notes which will be issued as they are developed in the coming year and beyond.   

Three Practice Notes are now available within the members area of the AIBS website, related to:

• Supervision 
• Transition Periods 
• Engagement Transfer

We hope members find these Practice Notes informative and beneficial to the professionalism of the industry. Soon we will provide practice notes specifically addressing engagement of building surveyors, linked to forms of engagement that AIBS has developed in conjunction with legal advisors.  

If you have any feedback or are concerned by any aspect of the Practice Notes we have provided, please let us know. We would also like to hear from you regarding any areas of practice where you believe there is a need for AIBS to provide guidance.
