Nominations for AIBS Board and Chapter Committee

In accordance with the AIBS Constitution, AIBS is required to conduct elections for the AIBS Board and Chapter Committees every two years.

The term of the current Board and Chapter Committee will conclude at the completion of the AIBS Annual General Meeting which will be held in Perth on Friday 26th October 2018.   
 
As a result, AIBS has now commenced the process for the election of Directors for the Board of AIBS and also for Chapter Committee Members of each Chapter for the next term from 2018 - 2020.

Nomination forms for the election of both Directors and Chapter Committee members are now available here in the Internal Policies area of the AIBS website. Please note that nominations close at 5pm (AEST) on Wednesday 19 September 2018. Nomination forms are also available by emailing [email protected]. Elections will be held during the period 24 September to 08 October 2018 subject to requirement. For those Chapters that will require an election, voting details will be sent via email to each member and posted on the AIBS website.

Those members nominating for Chapter Committee positions should be aware that the role of Chapter Committees have recently changed as advised in the AIBS Communique of 21 August 2018. The role of the Chapter Committee can be found in clause 7 of the AIBS By-Laws. Further, members nominating for the Chapter Committee are also advised that they will be required to sign the Terms of Appointment for Chapter Committee and each member should be aware of these requirements prior to nominating. Members nominating for the role of Director, should familiarise themselves with all AIBS policies including the AIBS Constitution & By-Laws and also be familiar with the responsibilities of a company director as provided in the Corporations Act 2001. An outline of the role of the Director and the AIBS Board can be found here to better understand the requirements of being a Director on the Board of AIBS.
