Update on Greater Brisbane Area Three-Day Lockdown

For the information of members on the recent three-day lockdown, please find below, extract of communication received from the Department of Energy and Public Works.

As announced by the Premier on Monday, the local government areas of Brisbane, Logan, Moreton Bay, Ipswich and Redlands entered a three-day lockdown from 5pm Monday 29 March to 5pm Thursday 1 April to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

All people living in those areas are to remain home, with certain exceptions, which include attending work if they cannot work from home.

Construction and building/maintenance works in those areas can continue, which includes the work of services trades.

Masks must be worn indoors. It is strongly recommended that masks are worn outdoors if workers are unable to maintain 1.5m of physical distance. Masks are not required while driving and do not need to be worn in workplaces if it is not safe due to the type of work being carried out.
