*Please note: Section 15 of the Professional Standards Act 2003 (Vic) provides the following with regards to the date of commencement of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors Professional Standards Scheme in Victoria:
15 Commencement of schemes 
(1) A scheme published in the Government Gazette with the authorisation of the Minister commences— 
(a) on such day 2 months or more after the date of its publication as may be specified in the scheme; or 
(b) if no such day is specified—2 months after the date of its publication.

As the date specified in the scheme and the date of publication are one in the same both subsection (a) and (b) provide for the same commencement date, being 1 September 2021.

2. Approval of interstate scheme—Act, s 14 
The Australian Institute of Building Surveyors Professional Standards Scheme is an interstate scheme that has been approved by the appropriate council for New South Wales.
Notes—
1  See—
(a) section 15 of the Act for when the scheme commences; and
(b) section 33 of the Act for the period for which the scheme remains in force.
