Draft Standards Open for Comment

AIBS has updated our website detailing Standards Australia public comment drafts that are currently open for feedback. There are several Standards currently open for comment. Of particular interest are:

 

AS 2699.1 Built-in components for masonry construction, Part 1: Wall ties. Closes 23rd April
AS 2699.2 Built-in components for masonry construction, Part 2: Connectors and accessories. Closes 23rd April
AS 2699.3 Built-in components for masonry construction, Part 3: Lintels and shelf angles (durability requirements). Closes 23rd April
AS 1735.12 Facilities for persons with disabilities for lifts. Closes 17th May
AS/NZS 4671 Steel for the reinforcement of concrete. Closes 31st May
AS 4420.1
 Windows, external glazed, timber and composite doors.  Closes 11th June

We encourage you to contribute to the development of these standards by providing your comments direct to [email protected] so that your views can form part of AIBS submissions. We ask that comments submitted to AIBS are received no less than 7 days prior to the Standards Australia close date.  This will ensure we have sufficient time to review them for consideration in our submission.

Standards Australia also invite individuals to be involved by providing comments direct to Standards Australia via their consultation page.
