The Australian Institute of Building Surveyors wish to advise of the passing of Mr Max Croxford, a Life Fellow of AIBS and the retired head of the State Government Building Department.

Sadly, Max passed away last Thursday 24th January 2018 after a distinguished life in Building Surveying.

He is a past National President of AIBS, member of WOBO and past convenor of the Pan Pacific Conference held in Melbourne and as Deputy commissioner to Lyall Dix, led the radical reforms to privatisation in Victoria, which have held up well for 25 years.

On behalf of the Board and members, AIBS extend their deepest condolences to Max’s wife Jeanette, son Robert and daughter Debbie and their families, and to his many friends and colleagues.
