A members only site visit at the Royal Hobart Hospital will be held for the TAS Chapter on 20 November. All members are welcome to attend this event as a member benefit, there is no charge for this event.
The new block K for the Royal Hobart Hospital is the largest building infrastructure project undertaken by the Tasmanian Government and it is nearing completion. There is now a unique opportunity to visit this complex site prior to occupancy by staff and patients. Subject to access availability, you will be able to see a modern Fire Control Room, grade 1 supply fire fighting features, a lift based evacuation system, evacuation management and stretcher evacuation, a CASA approved helipad and details of considered safety matters with having a helipad on top of a building and some of the unique features of a modern hospital.
Registration is required for this site visit.
Tour starts at 4pm sharp (there is no capacity for late comers to join) and will take approximately 2 hours.
You must bring your own full PPE for the site visit:
- Helmet
- Glasses
- Vest
- Safety Shoes
