The introduction of the NCC 2019 saw the implementation of the Fire Safety Verification Method which commenced on 1 May 2020. We know that Fire safety is at the forefront of topics around Australia particularly in the area of combustible cladding.
Of note with the introduction of the FSVM is the requirement to evaluate the catastrophic structural collapse scenario. How can this be achieved and does the building surveyor need to be aware of this?
AIBS has gathered key technical experts in fire safety engineering and building surveying to discuss this important element of application of the FSVM.
The format of this webinar event will provide for a 30-minute Q&A discussion on this topic. So, if you are in the space of approving complex buildings using the FSVM, or have an interest in the inner workings of the FSVM and the requirements for design for catastrophe, this is a Webinar you will not want to miss.
This webinar is being presented by Ari Akritidis and Dr Jonathan Barnett.
